"Dash for Darragh" Fundraiser

On the May Bank Holiday Weekend Oola GAA Club will be holding a fundraiser for Darragh Ryan.

The fundraiser is €20 to enter and 100% of all proceeds raised will be donated to the Gofundme page.
We are asking people to get out and get active over the May Bank Holiday weekend by doing any one of the following activities - Run 5K, Walk 10K or Cycle 20K and help raise funds for Darragh and his family.

April Walking Challenge

Following on from our successful "March for a Million Challenge" we have a new challenge beginning on Thursday 1st April.

There are three challenges, pick which ever one suits your level.

We would love to see some people who may not be regular walkers take on the Bronze challenge, about an hour a day should be enough to make the 6,000 step target per day.

Covid 19 Restrictions-Due to Level 5 Government restrictions the club grounds remain closed .

Membership 2021
Membership is now open-Player membership €60 ,U19 is € 30.Non-Playing membership is €30.Bord na Og membership is €20.Membership can be paid online or to club registrar Mixie Ryan.

Split the pot - This week's winner was Connie Barry & Bridget Burns who won €806,sold by Bridget Burns . Envelopes are available from Gala, Londis , Oola Post office & Supermacs in Tipperary Town Plaza and online on Oola Gaa website. Also available from players . We would like to thank everyone for their continued support. Envelopes are €2 each or you can buy 3 for €5.

Limerick Club Draw 2021.
Breda English Hayes is the co-ordinator for the development draw this year. If you would like to join or re join you can contact Breda on 087 8923884. The proceeds of this draw benefit both club and county .The first draw is on 27th March with the top prize of €10,000.

Limerick GAA have announced TLC6 clean-up will take place in some capacity this Good Friday April 2nd, in compliance with HSE restrictions. Please visit www.teamlinerickcleanup.ie to register your interest .All information available online.

My life step challenge, Irish Life
Thanks to all who joined us in this step challenge in February. While we hit the target and we were entered into the draw,unfortunately we didnt win a prize. Congratulations to Emly Gaa who were lucky in the draw.

Healthy Club committee.
We are just finished our 2nd week and there are huge numbers coming in .We now have 27 teams of 5 ,with 12 teams already over the 1 million steps.Well done to all who accepted this challenge. Check out our social media for some pictures taken while out walking in our locality.
As Sunday next is Downs Syndrome day, our walkers will don bright, colourful socks in support of World Down Syndrome day. Keep an eye on our social media for the photos !

 March for a Million Challenge

Oola Healthy Clubs will be running the "March for a Million" challenge for the month of March.

This is open to everyone, club members or not, near and far, we would love to see as many people as possible take part.

The challenge is for each team of 5 to complete a total of 1 million steps in March.
You can enter as an individual, as a group or as a full team of 5.
Individuals and groups of less than 5 will be assigned to a team by the Healthy Clubs Committee, we will try to make sure that there is a good mix of regular and not so regular walkers in each team.

Teams that complete 1 million steps will be entered into a prize draw at the end.

All you need is a phone app or watch that measures your steps.
